Breath & Nervous System sessions allow you to create a foundation of safety within yourself. They deliver well-being through working with your unique nervous system and body to connect into parts of Self that may usually go unnoticed. Through an allopathic lens this is what is referred to as the Automatic or Autonomic Nervous System. Connecting consciously to your breath makes what was once unconscious and automatic, completely conscious. Slowly learning the unconscious patterns–or parts of Self–that present through the breath offers up access to the real, authentic Self. In Eastern Asian traditions this practice is also known as Pranayama.
The breath is accessible for every human being. When we have a safe container, we are able to then feel what has been there within us all along. The intention isn’t to change it, but to feel it, to observe it, to build rapport and safety with the parts of us that have been exiled and told they aren’t welcome. To create this container we work with presence, connection & safety. The difference can then be felt between the safety of the container and everyday life. This is moving toward wholeness and acceptance rather than perfection and control.
