Jess is currently taking bookings at Jacaranda House Buderim, and if required offering a home visit service.

Bodywork sessions are a combination of Jess’ extensive study of the physical, emotional & spiritual body. Her sessions are tailored around the individual and incorperate a number of distinct modalities and will include a combination of cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, stretching, or breathwork, depending on what is most supportive for you in the moment.

Jess’ sessions are grounded in researched based methods. She is proudly able to offer clients healthcare rebates. If you are outside the Sunshine Coast area and require a session, please directly contact Jess, she is often travelling for work and is happy to make time to come and see you.

BODYWORK & MASSAGE

Bodywork & Massage sessions are anchored in Safety, Presence & Connection. These sessions blend multiple modalities, including Tui Na ( Chinese Medical Massage), Integral Energetics, Yoga Theraputics (Asana, Kriya, Pranayama, Meditation & Philosophy) and Self Enquiry to guide the body towards balance (self-regulated healing).

Jess works with both the physical and energetic bodies, creating a safe space for the body’s natural rebalancing process to unfold. By building trust and awareness, she helps clients tune into what is often unspoken or unnoticed, allowing the body to reconnect with its natural rhythms and allowing self-regulation to occur.

By creating a safe and supportive space, we allow all parts of ourselves to gently emerge and be acknowledged. Just as they are. This process helps clients reconnect with their inner wisdom—their natural ability to rebalance and navigate life. It is not about seeking something external but rather peeling back the layers that obscure an awareness that already exists within.

The journey of turning inwards (becoming aware of our body, breath & thoughts) can sometimes feel messy or chaotic. However, by meeting ourselves exactly where we are, we cultivate a space of non-hierarchical potential — a space between the known and the emerging. Within this, Jess trusts what arises in the present moment, allowing your body to lead the way while ensuring that you remain within your window of tolerance.

The Role of Tui Na in Your Session

Tui Na is an ancient form of Chinese Medical Massage, predating other branches of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). It is one of the four pillars of TCM, alongside Acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and Qi Gong. As a standalone medical system, it can be used to treat both internal and external conditions by regulating the flow of Qi and Blood throughout the body.

In Tui Na, the techniques of "Tui" (pushing)—Yang in nature—and "Na" (grasping and pulling)—Yin in nature—work together to restore balance. By removing blockages along the meridian (internal and external) and sinew pathways, Tui Na allows the body to self-regulate.

Physically, Tui Na helps:

  • Realign tissues and joints

  • Break down scar tissue and adhesions

  • Accelerate healing and reduce the risk of recurring injuries

  • Strengthen the immune system

Emotionally, Tui Na helps:

From a TCM perspective, stored emotions and disruptions in Shen (spirit) are often at the root of disease. True transformation happens when we release emotional patterns held within the body, allowing Qi to move freely once again.

Tui Na can help with a variety of conditions, including:

  • Chronic pain (e.g., lower back pain, neck pain, and joint pain)

  • Muscle tension and stiffness

  • Headaches and migraines

  • Stress and anxiety

  • Sleep disturbances and insomnia

  • Digestive issues

  • Sports injuries

  • Postural imbalances

  • Hormonal imbalances

  • Menstrual issues (e.g., cramps, irregular cycles, and PMS)

This approach provides not just symptom relief, but also supports the body’s natural ability to heal and restore balance.

The Role of Integral Energetics in Your Session

The Integral Energetics approach emphasis a dynamic interplay between physical touch, energetic awareness, and emotional processing. By working within both the seen and unseen layers of experience, this approach allows deep-seated patterns to surface and resolve naturally.

By guiding the body from a state of defensive tension to one of ease and movement, we create space and a capacity to listen deeper. Your body naturally seeks to reorganise itself for greater vitality, coherence, and adaptability.

This work supports:

  • Flexibility – Increased physical, emotional, and mental flexibility.

  • Adaptability – Enhanced ability to navigate change.

  • Coherence – A unified sense of wholeness and resilience.

  • Energy – Greater vitality and internal flow.

  • Stability – A deeper internal sense of safety, trust, and presence.

By creating a container of safety and presence, these sessions invite you to reconnect with your body’s innate intelligence—moving beyond patterns of holding and restriction toward a more integrated, free-flowing state of being.

What to Expect in a Session

Your first session is 90 minutes and conducted one-on-one with Jess to assess your unique case history. Utilising diagnostic frameworks from Traditional Chinese Medicine (Tui Na Diagnosis) and case history questioning from the frameworks of Integral Energetics, a thorough case history is taken before any hands-on takes place. Follow-up sessions are at the choice of the client to last 60 or 90 mins. During the session, you will lie fully clothed on a treatment table while experiencing a combination of light contacts, deeper physical techniques (Tui Na) and energetic work (IE and Tui Na) tailored to your body’s needs.

What should I do while having a session?

It’s best during a session to remain in a relaxed but aware state, noticing what is happening in your body, with your breathing and where your attention is going. Allow your body to respond, move make any sounds as it wants to, your body wants to relinquish stored tension and learn a more efficient way of organising itself.
